Emerging artist Juby DaGod is making serious noise with the release of his new EP Jubilee Pt. 1, along with a music video for “Roseland.” His music feels refreshing and brings back the true essence of hip hop, delivering honest music that speaks to who you are. Juby DaGod is an artist, filmmaker, and producer from the south side of Chicago and is shaping up to be the next big talent to come out of the city. His music carries a message, giving listeners something real they can connect to. He started his music career in Boiling Springs, North Carolina while attending Gardner Webb University. While studying video and film, he began performing at open mics, creating more music, and shooting and releasing his own music videos. This helped him gain recognition in the hip hop scene in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has performed in cities like Austin, Texas, Charlotte, North Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia, Greenville, South Carolina, Raleigh, North Carolina, Louisville, Kentucky, Columbus, Ohio, and his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. He recently built strong buzz with his music video “Dear Cole,” released on January 28, 2025, which also happens to be J Cole’s birthday, adding a meaningful connection to one of his inspirations. The video has already reached over 15,000 views on YouTube, showing growing attention around his work. He draws inspiration from artists like J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, Tyler The Creator, JID, Lil Wayne, and Smino. Juby is also set to release a self produced project titled INFAMOUS. He aims to challenge the narrative of mainstream hip hop by creating honest music that comes from a real place and delivers a message.
